Fumiko. H Memorial Hall Ep.1
This is the first episode of the series report on Hayashi Fumiko Memorial Hall in Shinjuku ward, Tokyo.
Hidden Gem in Shinjuku Area
To be honest, I've accidentally found this museum on the Google Map just a week ago, (which means I had totally no idea who Fumiko Hayashi is!) but this place has turned out to be a hidden gem in Tokyo!
Access
Take a local train from Seibu Shinjuku Sta. (Seibu Shinjuku Line) & get off at Nakai Sta. after a 8-minute ride.
Walk to the hall following the map below.
Walled Bamboo Grove
Turn right on seeing this sign. You'll see astonishingly beautiful greenery inside the walled premise.
Real entrance is a bit ahead, but this wooden gate is also photogenic against the backdrop of bamboo trees. The staff told me we can also enjoy maple leaves turning red in autumn.
Reasonable Fee & English guide
Here we are, this is the entrance for the facility. What surprised me was two coin admission fee, which is just ¥150!
Don't forget to take these informative English guides at the entrance! Especially, this purple one will make your visit really memorable!
Thanks for reading
To be continued to Ep.2!
